Michael Longo, Head Coach (15U: 2007)

Michael is a USA Hockey Level 4 certified coach from Allison Park, PA. He was a forward on the inaugural Penn State Men’s NCAA Division I team from 2012-13 and on the ACHA Division I Club team from 2009-2012. Prior to that, Michael played for the Youngstown Phantoms and the Pittsburgh Junior Penguins AAA programs.

As a coach, Michael’s focus is on developing individual skills and team systems that build the physical and mental proficiency of players on the ice. Additionally, he emphasizes building strong off-ice character traits in players that will guide them in becoming successful adults. entering his third season as an assistant coach with the Pittsburgh Huskies and his fourth season overall. Michael grew up playing Tier I hockey in the Pittsburgh area, including playing juniors for the Mahoning Valley Phantoms. He then moved on to play at Penn State, where he was a member of their inaugural NCAA Division I team. Michael has a noticeable and infectious passion for the game and his attention to detail can be seen by watching one of his high paced practices. Michael holds a USA Hockey Level 4 certification.

The 2022-2023 season will be Michael’s fifth season with the Huskies organization and this team.

Jim Schwarzbach, Assistant Coach (15U: 2007)

Jim is entering his 16th season coaching in PAHL. The 2022-23 season will be his fifth as a coach in the Huskies organization. Jim has previously held the head coach position with the Butler Valley Dawgs Squirt AA team. Jim holds a USA Hockey Level 4 certification.
